Can you mix different Scottoils?
Yes, our three different oils can be mixed together so there is no need to drain the oil out to add the next type.
We would recommend that you take the oil level down low before you refill up.
All of our oils are specially formulated for chain oiler systems to ensure the chain is consistently lubricated while you ride. Friction modifiers maximise efficiency and the unique formula prevents a sticky mess building up on your chain.
Scottoil Standard Blue
- Scottoiler Blue Oil is the first, traditional Scottoil
- 250ml is enough for 5,000 miles of riding
- It should be used in average daily temperatures of 0-30°C (32°F-86°F)
- Suitable for most European countries and North America
Scottoil High Temp Red
- Scottoiler High-Temp. Red is specifically designed for warmer climates
- 250ml is enough for 5,000miles of riding
- It should be used in average daily temperatures of 20-40°C (68°F-104°F)
- Suitable for hotter climates such as Asia, Australia and southern Europe
Scottoil – All Climate Biodegradable
- Scottoil Biodegradable Green offers a wide operational temperature range equivalent to approximately 0-40°C (32-104°F) making it suitable for all climates
- 250ml is enough for 5,000miles of riding
- Biodegradable Green Scottoil is noticeably different by nature of it’s bold green colour, recyclable clear plastic bottle and twist lock cap
- Blended from a vegetable oil base Scottoil Biodegradable Green has been developed to ensure compatibility with the other Scottoil products and with all Scottoiler Chain Oilers
- In order to be able to claim any product as ‘readily biodegradable’ it has to biodegrade quickly and completely (≥ 60% by OECD 301A-F/ASTM D7373 testing) within 28 days
