Q: My display unit resets / loses settings
Q: My eSystem isn’t priming
Q: Oil is still dispensed at the chain/sprocket even after switching the bike off
Q: No oil is being dispensed from the eSystem
Q: My eSystem won’t turn on
Q: My pump is not working
Q: My eSystem is dispensing too little oil
Q: My eSystem is dispensing too much oil
Q: My System is leaking at the pump

Q: Display unit resets / loses settings

  1. Is the eSystem attached directly to the battery? i.e directly onto battery terminals and not through a switched power source?
    • The eSystem needs to be directly attached to the battery and have a constant power supply to retain its settings.
  2. Check the internal fuse holder connection. Ensure they are clear of obstructions and forming a good contact with the fuse itself.
  3. Check complete length of cabling for sign of damage.

Q: My eSystem isn’t priming

  1. Does the red LED on the display unit flash continuously once a second for 60 seconds when you prime the system?
    • If it only flashes once and then stops then you need to change the oil level in the oil level menu. Manually fill in your oil level menu and try again.
  2. Is there oil in your reservoir and does your oil level menu reflect this?
  3. Check the connection between the display and the REP, are they connected and is the connector block the right way around, with both parts of the latching clip connected?
  4. Can you hear or feel the pump pulsing?
  5. Remove the check valve and try again.

Q: Oil is siphoning at the chain/sprocket after a longer period of time

  1. Is the check-valve in line, with the arrow pointing in the direction of flow?
  2. Is a lube tube or HCR being used and is it higher than the REP?
    • Additional reservoirs must always be the same height or a little lower than the main reservoir, never higher.
  3. Are there any air gaps in the tubing, suggesting an air leak?
  4. Is a Dual Injector being used and is it leaking out of one side?

Q: No oil is being dispensed from the eSystem

  1. Does the eSystem display unit turn on ok, either manually or by switching on the engine?
  2. Is there oil in the reservoir and does the oil level gauge reflect this?
    • Fill the reservoir and manually fill in the oil level menu in your display to reflect this.
  3. Check the connection between the REP and display unit.
  4. Does the LED on the display unit flash about once per second when the system is being primed?
    • If not, manually fill in your oil level menu and try again.
  5. Is the flow rate set to between 20-180 seconds?
    • If it shows this symbol Ø manually fill in your oil level menu to reflect the fill level in your REP and then select a flow rate between 20-180 seconds.
  6. Can you see the upward pointing arrow ↑ in the bottom right corner of your display when you ride?
    • If not, lower your oiling threshold to fewer bars.
  7. Can you feel or hear you pump pulsing when priming?
  8. Is your pump connected to the display unit at the connector block?
    • Check the connector block is connected the right way around.
    • Check no wires have slipped out of the block.
    • Remove check valve and test again.
  9. Is there any oil flowing if you disconnect your check valve?
  10. Have you checked if the dispensing nib at your sprocket is blocked?

Q: My eSystem won’t turn on

  1. Are the battery connections properly attached directly to your battery?
  2. Does it turn on when you hold down the ‘menu’ button for 5 seconds?
  3. Is your fuse intact?

Q: My pump is not working

  1. Is your pump connected to the display unit at the connector block?
    • Check the connector block is connected the right way around.
    • Check no wires have slipped out of the block.
  2. Can you hear or feel the pump pulsing when priming?
  3. Remove check valve and test again.

Q: My eSystem is dispensing too little oil

  1. Check dispenser tubing for kinks and restrictions and clear if necessary.
  2. Remove your check valve and see if the flow improves.
  3. Check that you are using the correct oil for the outside temperature.
    • Our ‘traditional’ blue oil is for average daily temperatures ranging from 0°C – 30°C, while our ‘high temperature’ red oil is designed for average daily temperatures between 20°C – 40°C.

Q: My eSystem is dispensing too much oil

  1. Check that you are using the correct oil for the outside temperature.
    • Our ‘traditional’ blue oil is for average daily temperatures ranging from 0°C – 30°C, while our ‘high temperature’ red oil is designed for average daily temperatures between 20°C – 40°C.
  2. Make sure you are using the correct flow rate.
    • 20 is the fastest with 3 drops per minute.
    • 180 the slowest, with one drop every 3 minutes.

Q: My System is leaking at the pump

  1. Make sure the oil is not coming out from around your rubber filler plug, should that be the case, follow these steps.
    1. Cut approximately 5mm of a spare dispenser nib.
    2. Insert into the hole on the inside of the nipple on the filler plug.
    3. This should now be a much tighter fit and no oil should come out anymore.
  2. Has the unit ever been opened, for example for cleaning?
    1. We never recommend opening our units, as this can allow water to get inside the unit and oil to leak out.
