Q: My System is leaking at the pump
Q: My eSystem isn’t priming
- Does the red LED on the display unit flash continuously once a second for 60 seconds when you prime the system?
- If it only flashes once and then stops then you need to change the oil level in the oil level menu. Manually fill in your oil level menu and try again.
- Is there oil in your reservoir and does your oil level menu reflect this?
- Check the connection between the display and the REP, are they connected and is the connector block the right way around, with both parts of the latching clip connected?
- Can you hear or feel the pump pulsing?
- Remove the check valve and try again.
Q: Oil is siphoning at the chain/sprocket after a longer period of time
- Is the check-valve in line, with the arrow pointing in the direction of flow?
- Is a lube tube, HCR or Traveller Expansion Bag being used and is it higher than the REP?
- Additional reservoirs should ideally always be the same height or a little lower than the main reservoir
- Are there any air gaps in the tubing, suggesting an air leak?
- Is the Scorpion Dual Injector being used and is it leaking out of one side?
Q: No oil is being dispensed from the eSystem
- Does the eSystem display unit turn on ok, either manually or by switching on the engine?
- Is there oil in the reservoir and does the oil level gauge reflect this?
- Fill the reservoir and manually fill in the oil level menu in your display to reflect this.
- Check the connection between the REP and display unit.
- Does the LED on the display unit flash about once per second when the system is being primed?
- If not, manually fill in your oil level menu and try again.
- Is the flow rate set to between 20-300 seconds?
- If it shows this symbol X, manually fill in your oil level menu to reflect the fill level in your REP and then select a flow rate between 20-300 seconds.
- Is the oil drop icon on the top left of the display solid black when you ride?
- If not, lower your oiling threshold to fewer bars.
- Can you feel or hear you pump pulsing when priming?
- Is your pump connected to the display unit at the connector block?
- Check the connector block is connected the right way around.
- Check no wires have slipped out of the block.
- Remove check valve and test again.
- Is there any oil flowing if you disconnect your check valve?
- Have you checked if the dispensing nib at your sprocket is blocked?
Q: My eSystem won’t turn on
- Are the battery connections properly attached directly to your battery?
- Does it turn on when you hold down the ‘menu’ button for 5 seconds?
- Is your fuse intact?
Q: My pump is not working
- Is your pump connected to the display unit at the connector block?
- Check the connector block is connected the right way around.
- Check no wires have slipped out of the block.
- Can you hear or feel the pump pulsing when priming?
- Remove check valve and test again.
Q: My eSystem is dispensing too little oil
- Check dispenser tubing for kinks and restrictions and clear if necessary.
- Remove your check valve and see if the flow improves.
- Check that you are using the correct oil for the outside temperature.
- Our ‘traditional’ blue oil is for average daily temperatures ranging from 0°C – 30°C, while our ‘high temperature’ red oil is designed for average daily temperatures between 20°C – 40°C.
Q: My eSystem is dispensing too much oil
- Check that you are using the correct oil for the outside temperature.
- Our ‘traditional’ blue oil is for average daily temperatures ranging from 0°C – 30°C, while our ‘high temperature’ red oil is designed for average daily temperatures between 20°C – 40°C.
- Make sure you are using the correct flow rate.
- 20 is the fastest with 3 drops per minute.
- 300 the slowest, with one drop every 5 minutes.
Q: My System is leaking at the pump
- Make sure the oil is not coming out from around your rubber filler plug, should that be the case, follow these steps.
- Cut approximately 5mm of a spare dispenser nib.
- Insert into the hole on the inside of the nipple on the filler plug.
- This should now be a much tighter fit and no oil should come out anymore.
